Stoney and Friends were at the recent Carp Society Show held at Sandown and raised
over £1800 from donations, badge sales and the ever popular Find a Fish board.
We were accompanied by a couple of nurses who certainly helped to
persuade the angling public to donate generously.
There was also a special raffle with Steve Neville's own original stainless pod,
which was won by Martin 'Smarts' Lewis. He was presented with the pod by Chris Ball. Martin
had been going on about how much he wanted to win the pod to a number of us all day so we were
somewhat relieved that he'd actually won it!
A number of awards to thank people for helping Stoney & Friends raise money were made
on the Sunday with the
Carp Society, Gareth Sparry and Jim Morson all receiving certificates for their efforts.
